Cllr Vera Tomlinson

I have been the St Andrew’s ward Councillor since 2008, and as a fellow local resident, I have been approachable and consistent in responding to residents on local issues.

Working with Justin Tomlinson MP and my ward colleagues, we have achieved real progress for our area.

This includes ensuring sensible development so that new developments such as Tadpole Farm have adequate parking, green spaces & amenities; Delivering additional school places by extending all of the local primary schools and securing the new Tadpole Farm Primary School; Working with Justin Tomlinson MP, BT & Virgin to secure the vital roll-out of superfast FIBRE broadband; Securing and opening the new Redhouse Community Centre, after negotiating to secure the land and funding; Working to bring forward the redevelopment of the Orbital Shopping Park by working with British Land, local residents & businesses; and Working with Justin Tomlinson MP, New College & the Council to build the new GWA, delivering further secondary school places.

Cllr Steve Heyes

I am proud to represent St Andrews Ward. I was elected in May and 2019 at the height of the Brexit debate. I am most thankful that local residents chose to vote on local issues not National and elected me to represent them.

I aim to be always readily available contactable by phone, email, Facebook, Twitter and of course in person and respond in a timely manner

My immediate focus is on long-standing local issues in North Swindon where residents have given a clear message they expect to see some traction. These include parking issues, unadopted roads, speeding on Thamesdown Drive and anti-social behaviour. I will be working hard to find practical, adaptable solutions for North Swindon and the rest of the Borough

I am a Haydon Wick Parish Councillor and have successfully adopted a similar ethos playing a part in improving grass and bush cutting which were the top concern of residents.

Rahul advocates good health and loves sports and is keen fan of Swindon Town Football Club.
