David-Oladapo Ibitoye was born in London, moved to Swindon over 19 years ago resides in Penhill and Upper-Stratton ward. He worked for the Brunel shopping centre for five years and later Joined Honda UK where he currently works. He obtained a Degree in Business Management and Communication from Oxford Brookes University. He lives with his wife and three children who all attend St. Catherine Primary School.
David-Oladapo is involved in several local charities and community groups in his ward supporting the community to the best of his ability. He helped organise local family fun days, Penhill Carnival and children’s playing out activities. He commits his free time to support the community; arranging community action days, litter-picks, road sign cleaning, reporting of damaged pavements and roads. He also volunteers to assist green space, planting of new trees and supporting wildlife initiatives.
David-Oladapo is passionate about his ward. Oladapo believes in a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive regardless of their background or where they live. He supports local initiatives that help protect against critical community deprivation. Oladapo supports ideas that promote inclusion so that our community well-being is assured”.
Oladapo will work hard to give the Penhill and Upper Stratton community a strong voice, to tackle issues such as inadequate housing and social amenities, anti-social behaviour, roads and traffic issues, parking issues all whilst ensuring that the parks and green spaces are kept well maintained so residents and their families can continue to enjoy local facilities.
