Liden Centre Refurbishment

Cllr Barbara Parry “The work is making good progress at the Centre and will be finished shortly.

The cage has now gone and has been replaced with block paving. The shrubs and flowering plants have been planted and the roof protector is to be fitted shortly. The stones next to the slope will all be removed and the step will be made good with an anti-slip slope with a rail. The brick wall outside the community centre will be removed and the steps made as one, to the side will be an anti-slip slope with a rail. The front car park will have black bollards replacing the old concrete ones and bollards will all be repainted. New black bollards will replace the concrete bollards from the kebab shop to the flats. The turning bay at the front of the shop is being widened. A lorry stop kerb will be fitted to the side of the kebab shop, to stop lorries damaging the kerb. Some of the uneven block paving will be made good”.
