ABOUT US

Cllr Robert Jandy

I am Stratton St. Margaret born and bred, having attended Colebrook Primary and Kingsdown School. Following university and successful career in academia, Robert became the Director of Leadership & Management in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and has represented the UK at NATO. He is currently the head of research for an international think tank. Robert has lots of experience as a local volunteer and local representative, including:
• A Parish Councillor in Stratton St. Margaret
• A Director & Chair for two local charities – Swindon Dance and the Arts Council for the Defence Academy in the UK plus on the board of the Museum of Computing
• A volunteer at St Thomas’s Hospital, helping patients with newly diagnosed pre-cancer

Cllr Russell Holland

I am proud to be Swindon born and bred. I live in Stratton St Margaret with my wife Gaylene and have represented our area for the past 9 years as your local Borough Councillor. Working alongside my fellow ward Councillors John Haines & Colin Lovell, as well as our local MP Justin Tomlinson, I have worked hard to deliver for our community. My Council experience includes serving as the Cabinet Member for Finance, Sitting on the Police Authority, volunteering for local charities, campaigning against the wind turbines, and most recently, campaigning against the Bio-Mass plant. I host regular ward surgeries to continue engaging with local residents and I will continue to engage with fellow residents. My priorities include delivering fair and affordable Council tax, providing a strong voice on planning, ensuring access to key bus services, keeping our area tidy, tackling anti-social behaviour and supporting local charities, groups & clubs. It has been a privilege to represent fellow residents and I hope to be able to continue to serve our community.
