Councillor David Renard, Conservative Leader of the Council, has sent his Easter greeting to all residents of the Borough.
“I would like to wish you all a Happy Easter and invite you to enjoy all that Swindon has to offer – whether you wish to worship, shop, or just relax,” said Councillor Renard.
So many things you can do in Swindon
He stated that as well as the town’s many churches, there were the Designer Outlet Village, Steam museum, the Museum and Art Gallery, and the cinemas at Greenbridge, Regents Circus and Shaw Ridge, to name but a few of the local attractions.
Councillor Renard added, ”The park, House and their facilities are open for all and I encourage residents to take advantage of this great place to visit. As Conservatives we have kept our word be keeping both the House and the park open to the public.”
Plenty of Parks, too
Councillor Mary Martin, who represents Shaw Ward in West Swindon and is the Cabinet Member for Communities and Place, commented:
“We have many other parks and cycleways so that people can enjoy our local area for free. Unlike some Labour-run Councils in the north west that are proposing to close parks and sell them for development, the Conservative-run Swindon Borough Council is working with parishes and communities to keep our parks open.”
