Following representations by ward Cllrs Nick Martin, Mary Martin and Keith Williams and residents concerns,  the proposed sites at Rannoch Close and the Willows have been dropped due to planning concerns.  Thank you to all residents who took the time to write in.

Covingham Residents Plant Against New Housing On Covingham Park

Dozens of green-fingered protestors planted 120 saplings to make a hedge on land in Covingham Park that has been earmarked for housing development. Swindon Borough Council’s Strategic Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment suggests that 32 homes could be built around the park but residents and politicians have opposed the idea.
