17/03/10 - Labour MP & Candidate Bank Rolled By Unite

It has been confirmed that 13 Labour Cabinet Members and 147 Labour MP's & Parliamentary Candidates are either members or taking cash from the Unite trade union.  This includes the South Swindon Labour MP, and North Swindon Parliamentary candidate.

Last year Unite gave £3.6m, making up a major chunk of the £10m they took from trade unions.

Is it any wonder that whilst Unite sets about wrecking British Airways with their planned strikes, we fail to see Gordon Brown and our Labour representatives stand up for all the passengers who will suffer at the hands of these strikes.

Labour can never be trusted to put local residents first whilst they are 'owned' by the trade unions - shame on them.
