Great Western Hospital Waiting Times

There has been a lot of media coverage of the Great Western Hospital referral times that have placed it as the worst performing hospital in the country.

There is to be a meeting of the Health Scrutiny Comittee on the 12th July at 5.30pm in committee room 6 at the Civic Offices where the committee will be asking the Hospital management and Swindon PCT some searching questions.

Members of the public are invited to come along where the first 15 minutes will be for public question time.

Cllr Peter Mallinson Chairman of the Health Scrutiny Committee said, "As the Chair of Health Scrutiny I am very concerned that this has been dragged through the media and that both Swindon MP's have seen fit to comment on the matter before it has been fully investigated by Scrutiny.  This is not in my opinion the correct way to approach this matter".
