Both Labour MPs were at the count to see the meltdown in Labour support across the town, though the North Swindon slipped away before the first results were announced.
Cllr Justin Tomlinson, North Swindon Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, "We would like to thank local residents for supporting our positive campaigning, and allowing us to continue the good work in helping transform Swindon."
Robert Buckland, South Swindon Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, "Year on year the Conservatives are winning more and more Council seats as increasing number of Swindon residents are abandoning Labour to support our positive, exciting campaigns focusing on building a better Swindon, whilst delivering value for money for the hard-pressed tax-payer."
