North & South Swindon Conservatives Merge

At a recent meeting of North & South Swindon Conservatives Association held at the Ellendune Centre, Wroughton,  it was unanimously agreed that they would be merged to represent the people of Swindon more effectively.

Commenting after the meeting, South Swindon Conservative Candidate Robert Buckland said: "Local residents don't sub-divide the town between North and South, so why should the Conservative Party?  I have always worked extremely closely with North Swindon Candidate Cllr Justin Tomlinson and formal merger seemed to be a common-sense conclusion to all of this.  Together with our 42 councillors, Justin and I will continue to work hard for all Swindon residents".
