Help Shape Our Future Leisure & Recreation
Swindon Borough Council is currently reviewing its leisure and recreation in the Borough. With the town entering an exciting new phase of development, with significant growth predicted over the next 20 years, we need to look at what facilities we currently have and what likely demands we will need to meet for future generations
We have been consulting widely on leisure usage within the Borough and a major part of the consultation will be an on-line questionnaire.
Once collated, the information provided by the survey will help us improve leisure provision by understanding the needs and aspirations of residents/users and also to explore how currently unsupported sports and activities can be developed.
Please take this opportunity to have your say on the future of leisure and recreation in Swindon by completing our online survey:
The Future of Recreation and Leisure in Swindon
(opens in new window)
Closing date for completing the questionnaire is 31st August 2006.
Hard copies of the questionnaire will also be available at leisure centres, libraries and community centres for those who do not have access to the internet.
Cllr Justin Tomlinson, North Swindon Parliamentary Spokesman, "As the Lead Member for Leisure, Recreation & Culture on Swindon Council, I hope as many local residents as possible take the time to help shape our future leisure strategy and facilities. The results from this feedback will significantly influence the decisions that we (the Council) will be making."
