On behalf of all the Conservative candidates at the local elections we would like to thank local residents for their support.

The results on May 4 were a record high for the Conservatives, with three further gains from Labour, and two from the Liberal Democrats taking us to 40 councillors.

Our approach on the doorsteps and in our literature was to concentrate upon what we have achieved in Swindon, our future plans for a fair and affordable council tax, the improvement of services and facilities offered by the council and our crucial regeneration plans for the town centre.

Throughout our team of 40 councillors we have a huge variety of skills and experience which will be used to work with residents and help build a better Swindon.
