The Labour MP for North Swindon has spoken in the House of Commons in relation to recycling in Swindon.

Recycling was only 19% whilst Labour were in control in 2004.

It is now 27% under the Conservatives, well on schedule to hit Government targets.

Cllr Justin Tomlinson, North Swindon Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, "The Conservatives have pledged to recycle 50% of all household waste by 2010.  We have already taken recycling rates from 19% (under Labour) to 27%, and have plans to further extend recycling facilities / service across Swindon."

"The Conservatives are working towards a better Swindon, offering positive action to improve services and deliver a fair and affordable Council Tax."
