20/01/06 - Robert Buckland Re-Selected For South Swindon

South Swindon Conservatives have unanimously endorsed Robert Buckland to be their candidate at the next General Election.  The move took place at a Special General Meeting held at the Ellendune Hall, Wroughton, tonight. 

Speaking at the meeting, Robert said: "I am delighted and honoured to have been given this opportunity to continue my work within the local community.  In the months ahead, I look forward to involving local residents in the Party's Policy Review, which I believe is the vital first step on the road to a Conservative Government.  Our new leader, David Cameron, is willing to engage on issues such as the environment that formed a key part of our election campaign in Swindon last year.  I am looking forward to exciting times ahead."
