More & More Labour Voters Are Abandoning Labour

The imploding Swindon Labour has lurched to an all time low.

Councillor Andy Harrison (Penhill Ward) is the latest Labour Councillor to resign from the Labour Group.  This follows Councillor Sinead Darker (Central Ward), Councillor John Taylor (Central Ward) & Councillor David Wren (Dorcan Ward).

As with the previous resignations, differences with Cllr Kevin Small (Western Ward) the Labour Group Leader were sighted.

Cllr Kevin Small's leadership has been an ongoing disaster:

• Council Tax rocketed 42% in just 3 years.
• 4 Labour Councillors have resigned from the Labour Group.
• Labour lost control in Swindon Council, and have seen their numbers of Councillors collapse following spectacular gains for the Conservatives in the last two sets of local elections.
• Cllr Kevin Small was slammed for billing the Council for his own mobile phone, and his excessive Office Furniture spending spree.

Councillor Justin Tomlinson, "Cllr Harrison's loss is a major blow to the Labour Group.  As their spokesman on Finance he was well respected, and worked well with the Conservative Councillors who stamped out the endless Council Tax hikes under Labour.  Clearly voting for Labour is a complete waste, they can't even run a group, God help us if they ever got their hands on the Council again!"
